Eric's Half-Ironman Training

I am now training for my second half-ironman race. The race is in Boulder this time in August, 2007. I finished the Florida Half-Ironman in May, 2007. Wish me luck!

I woke up and had plenty of time at the pool today.

Warm Up: 300 yards
15x50's (10 sec rest): 54.40, 54.85, 55.22, 58.18, 58.75, 58.40, 58.19, 57.73, 58.27, 58.68, 56.46, 57.38, 58.88, 54.94, 58.23
Average time: 57.24
Cool Down: 150 yards
Total: 1,250 yards

I had three goals for the 50m repeats today.
1) To swim each repeat under 60 seconds
2) Consistency
3) Only rest 10 seconds between repeats


I reached all goals except #3. I did much better with the rest in between repeats. I find myself resting too much!

I am starting to notice how my hips can make a difference. I felt less fatigued today. I also realized I need to get more sleep...zzzzzzzzz
